On July 19th, my wife, Karen, along with our children, family members and friends, joined me as I was sworn in as Sandy Springs' District 3 City Councilman by the Honorable Marcia M. Ernst, Sandy Springs' Municipal Court Judge. It is a true honor to represent the citizens of District 3 in the community that Karen and I love so much and I am very excited about the opportunities that lie a head for our great city as we work hard to make Sandy Springs the best hometown in America!

Chris Burnett leads with 41% vote count, and heads into run-off with strong momentum.
May 24, 2016 - In the first round of the Sandy Springs District 3 City Council race, Chris Burnett led the vote count at 41%, in front of four other challengers. Georgia election laws require at least a 50.1% majority to claim victory, so Chris and one other candidate now head to a runoff. Early voting for the runoff begins Monday, June 13th through Friday, June 17th, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and the final polling day is Tuesday, June 21st from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. All voting for this run-off will be held at the Hammond Park Round Building at 6005 Glenridge Drive in Sandy Springs. Your support and your vote are more important than ever, so please make your plans now to vote for Chris Burnett!
